EVALUATION RESEARCH

The Institute for Society, Culture and Environment (ISCE) is sponsoring a Special Interest Group (SIG) for Virginia Tech evaluation researchers for the purpose of increasing the visibility of faculty who are active in conducting research on education, prevention, and intervention programs. The ultimate ISCE goal is to facilitate faculty connections that may result in research proposals for external funding.

The goal of an ISCE SIG is to promote and encourage scholarly and productive exchanges among a disciplinarily diverse group of faculty scholars. Participating in this SIG provides an opportunity for faculty to develop a synergy around methodological approaches to evaluation. The long term goal for SIG members is to congeal their expertise and to participate in securing extramural funding for research and scholarship that informs and promotes positive individual and societal change.

If you have interest or expertise in this area and would like join the group, please send an email to Karen A. Roberto, Director, ISCE at kroberto@vt.edu. Include your name, department, email address, telephone number, evaluation methodology expertise, evaluation interests.

More than 20 faculty members are members of the ISCE SIG on Evaluation Research:

If you would like to lead a session in which you present information about a specific evaluation project, garner advice from members about an evaluation questions or concern you are facing, or brainstorm ideas about future collaborations, please contact Karen A. Roberto, Director, ISCE at kroberto@vt.edu

Thank you to those members of the Evaluation SIG who joined in on the planning meeting a few weeks ago.
