To help improve faculty success in seeking external funding, ISCE makes available financial and technical assistance to support the development of individual faculty members and promote participation in interdisciplinary teams as they conduct new and ongoing research.
The 2020-2021 ISCE handout summarizes ISCE's funding opportunities and support which are also described with related links below.
ISCE supports faculty research through its signature ISCE Scholars Program, special initiatives, often in collaboration with other Virginia Tech institutes or Transdisciplinary Communities, such as the ISCE-Global Change Center (GCC) Interdisciplinary Seed Funding, and by financially supporting unsolicited requests.
ISCE also offers a variety of capacity building activities and strategies including:
- ISCE News Flash
- Web-based Resources
- Technical Assistance
- Strong Internal Collaborators
- External Consultants
- Mentoring & Workshops
- Support for Speakers & Events
