ISCE to Host NSF Head of the Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences Directorate on February 13th

ISCE is hosting an event featuring Dr. Arthur Lupia, Assistant Director at the National Science Foundation and Head of the Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences Directorate on Thursday, February 13th at 1:00 p.m.

Dr. Lupia will present in-person at the East/West Falls Church Room in the Virginia Tech Research Center in Arlington, located at 900 N. Glebe Rd., and via simultaneous broadcast to Blacksburg, location TBA. Remote access via Zoom is also available at: https://virginiatech.zoom.us/j/511429779; meeting ID: 511 429 779. The link will become active shortly before the program begins.

Dr. Lupia will present "The Value of Science in a Polarized Age." Light refreshments will be served for 30 minutes after the in-person event, and Dr. Lupia will be available during that time to interact with faculty. Information also will be offered by ISCE staff about the ISCE Scholars Program and other ISCE-related support after the presentation at both the Arlington and Blacksburg locations.
