Impact by the Numbers

The Institute for Society, Culture, and Environment supports research that addresses complex social challenges. These outcomes reflect the reach and impact of that work across disciplines, communities, and regions.

Impact Since Inception

592 faculty members have received financial support.
533 faculty members have received technical assistance.
52+ scholarly books published.
636+ journal articles published.
1,180 proposals submitted.
527 external grants received.
Faculty have been awarded over $122,345,800 in external funding.

Impact by the Numbers: Fiscal Year 2024–25

Areas of ISCE's Impact (associated specifically with ISCE support to individuals and Centers), include the participation of 196 undergraduate students, 236 graduate students, and 9 postdoctoral associates. 37 international and national honors were received, and 66 international and 106 national presentations were completed. Publications include 3 books, 10 book chapters, 107 journal articles, 4 national reports and 2 state reports.
